Shoulder pads

Shoulder pads are small pads that are sewn into the garment on the shoulder in order to give them a better seat or compensate for sloping shoulders. They are classified as follows:
- Sickle-or half moon-shaped shoulder pads for normal set-in sleeves and
- Raglan pads for raglan sleeves
For both types there are:
- Blouses cushion: foam, washable, and slightly smaller compared to
- Pads for blazers, jackets, costumes: bigger and not washable, often with elaborate construction of shape-imparting horsehair, in the rounding of the shoulder, a soft batting so that the pad does not supress under the jacket / blazer and a protective fleece
