Punto di Roma/Jersey Double Viscose

Viscose jersey fabric/Romanit/Punto di Roma or Punta de Roma), is a Double Jersey, a heavy, strong and high-quality knitware, similar to a very thick Jersey but firm and with two right sides (double surface). Knits, therefore also called double jersey, soft falling, not stiff. Due to its high rebound (spandex / elastane) and its thicker, heavier quality (stronger than our wool jersey Romanit) it is well suited for tight-fitting shift dresses, long shirts, sweaters, lightweight jackets emerge and treggins / leggings without any curves. As it falls softly it is also suitable for wider cut (Empire) shirts & apparel. The viscose proportion helps to avoid sweating, the nylon or polyester content is for ease of care, spandex / elastane for shape retention and high extensibility.

Knitwear is due to the (extensible) loop structure and the resulting interstices (air storage space) expandable, warming, breathable, absorbent and more crease-resistant than comparable woven fabrics.
